SUPER PC | Four Screen Portrait Mode Video Wall Controller

SUPER PC has released a Portrait Mode Video Wall Controller

The SUPERPC-VWC4DV can seamlessly and easily create this effect over a Quad Display. You just plug in your content to the controller and connect (up to) 4 Displays. It really is that simple!

Portrait mode is the term for using monitors on their side. It's nearly impossible to find hardware or software to flip content into Portrait mode. It's even harder to find hardware to create a Video Wall capable of doing this task.

This Portrait Mode Video Wall Controller doesn't have to use four Screens. You can use less if you want and still achieve the same effect. You can actually use one of the extra screens as a duplicate. There are several options to choose from. They're all built in and fully functional out of the box.

This a great option for people wanting huge screen space without having to pay the huge prices for 70"+ screens. Technology like this is quickly becoming the go-to solution for Restaurants, Signage Companies, Visual Arts Professionals, Emergency Stations, Military Posts, and enthusiasts alike.
You can use the input on the controller from almost any source. USB ThumbDrive, Computer, Laptop, Blu-Ray Player, Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, Roku, Fire Stick, Camera, and virtually any other source. Regardless of where your content is coming from you can always enjoy crisp 1080p streaming audio and video.

Are 4 Displays not enough for you? You can connect several units together to fill a larger area with more Displays! The SUPER PC Quad Display (Vertical-Portrait Mode) Video Wall Controller  can also be used in unison with several models. Connect the output from one into the input from another. Giving you the ability to create vast amounts of space being filled.

All SUPER PC controllers are Compatible with HDCP encrypted video streams. You'll never have to worry about blackouts or other issues commonly found.

If you're in the market for a way to increase your screen size without increasing your budget, take a look at this 2x2 Video Wall Controller

SUPER PC: How to Run Multiple Monitors on a Single Computer System

How to Run Multiple Monitors on a Single Computer System
There are only two components you will definitely need in order to run multiple monitors on your computer system. You will need computer hardware that can support multiple monitors and you will need the monitors. Then, there are other components like Multi-Monitor Desk Stands that are not essential, but will keep your monitor arrangement organized and looking impressive. Using a multi-monitor stand will also allow you to arrange your monitors in levels that you can't achieve with a flat workstation desk.
We have included links throughout this Tutorial that lead to the specified products.

Types of Multiple Monitor Hardware
You will need to have either internal or external computer hardware that can support the amount of monitors you wish to use. The best way to support multi-monitors is to have a computer with the proper multi-monitor graphics card configuration that supports the amount of monitors you intend to use. Here are the three Hardware Options that are available to support multiple screens.

Buy a Multiple Monitor Ready Computer - Although this is is one of the more expensive solutions, this option is recommended for those who need the most stable and reliable solution, with the best performance. It's also the easiest option for the technically challenged. Our multi-monitor computer systems are competitively priced to compete with ordinary computer systems.

Dual Monitor Computers - Quad Monitor Computers - Six Monitor Computers - Eight Monitor Computers

Install a Multiple Monitor Graphics Card inside your PC - Most personal computers only support a single monitor. However, you can replace your current graphics card with a multi-monitor graphics card.

Use an External Multi-Monitor Display Adapter - This option is the most inexpensive solution to add an extra monitor to your computer. It converts a USB port into a VGA or DVI monitor output, depending on which type your monitor This solution would only be recommended for home users who will mainly use the extra monitor for Surfing the web, viewing documents, and other simple and mild graphical situations. You can add an extra monitor per adapter you install, but make sure you have enough USB ports available. It would not be recommended for professional users or video intense environments.

  • External Multiple Monitor Controller Box - This solution allows the user to transform a single monitor output into multiple outputs. This is a great solution for anyone, but especially for those who wish to have a portable multi-monitor solution that they can use with any computer. This way you can transfer your monitors or multi-monitor array to any other computer system. For example: You can use it with your desktop at home, but can also take it with you while traveling and use it with your laptop.

  • Matrox External Multiple Monitor Adapters - Matrox has developed two external multi-monitor adapters in which you can add multiple monitors to your computer. The Matrox DualHead2Go will transform a single VGA or DVI output into a dual monitor output. The Matrox TripleHead2Go will allow you to support three monitors. If you are using these adapters with your laptop's external monitor port, you can achieve three monitors with the DualHead2Go and four monitors with the TripleHead2Go (this includes your laptop screen).
  • USB Powered External Display Adapters - Using a USB Display Adapter is the probably the least expensive solution to add an extra monitor to your laptop or PC. You can add an extra screen per adapter you install. You just have to make sure you have enough available USB ports on your computer. This solution is recommended for the casual user who wants to add an extra monitor or two for webs surfing, reading documents, and other low impact activities. This solution, although fairly reliable, is not recommended for the Professional user, or for video intense environments.

RGB Streaming:

For streaming applications, the XtemeRGB-Ex2 can be used with Windows Media Encoder to compress and stream captured video. To replay the video, use Windows® Media Player. Any application compatible with Windows DirectShow technology can use the XtremeRGB-Ex2 due to its built-in WDM support.

SUPER PC XtremeRGB Software:

The SUPER PC XtremeRGB-Ex2 is supplied with a powerful software application for configuring the timing and format of the input sources and displaying the data.  Simply connect your external DVI or Analog source into the card, run the SUPER PC XtremeRGB-Ex2 application to automatically detect the video source format and display the captured video in a window on your desktop.  You can also use the software application to record and capture the Analog data at high frame rates and play it back using the SUPER PC PhynxRecorder and PhynxPlayer applications.

Hardware Overview:

The XtremeRGB-Ex2 has a dual capture channels supporting up to 1920x1080 DVI or 2048x1536 VGA resolutions.  The SUPER PC XtremeRGB-Ex2 captures the Analog/DVI data and triple buffers it into onboard storage.  This data is then copied using DMA to the host system for display, storage or streaming. Whenever the DVI/VGA data is displayed the SUPER PC XtremeRGB-Ex2 sends the video data directly to the graphics card or via system memory (uer option).  The SUPER PC XtremeRGB-Ex2 direct transfer to teh graphics cards card increases the performance. The SUPER PC XtremeRGB-Ex2 sends portions of the captured data to the video channel and instructs each channel to use its graphics engine to update the data.  This utilizes the hardware and dramatically increases performance.
